PRIVACY

This privacy policy informs you about the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online offering and the websites, functions, and content associated with it. Personal data is any data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, email addresses, user behavior.

2. Collection of general data when visiting the website (server log files)

When you visit our website, information of a general nature is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, your IP address, the previously visited page, the amount of data transferred, and similar information. It is required in particular for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection to the website
  • Ensuring convenient use of our website
  • Evaluating system security and stability
  • Further administrative purposes

Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is automatically deleted after 30 days unless security incidents require longer retention.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by:

Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG
Königsberger Straße 4–6
32339 Espelkamp
Germany

The hosting provider processes personal data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). A corresponding data processing agreement is in place. The servers are located in Germany.

4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device. We only use technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the website (e.g. to store your language selection in WPML, for session management when completing multi-step forms). Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

You can configure your browser to inform you when cookies are set and to decide individually whether to accept them, or to refuse cookies in certain cases or in general. The functionality of our website may be limited if cookies are disabled.

5. Contact form & inquiry form

On our website, we offer contact forms through which you can send us inquiries. For this purpose, we use the Gravity Forms plugin. The data you enter in the form (name, email address, phone number, message, any uploaded files) is used to process your inquiry and stored on our servers.

Processing is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR) or — if the inquiry is aimed at concluding a contract — on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

6. AI-powered part configurator

On our homepage, we offer an AI-powered part configurator. By uploading an image, a drawing, or a PDF file together with a short description, it provides an automated recommendation of suitable punch-bending machines.

Transfer to a third-party provider: To analyze your upload and/or description, we transfer the data you enter to an AI service provider with servers in the USA (Google LLC, Mountain View, California — Gemini API). The transfer takes place exclusively after express consent via the checkbox provided in the form (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).

Note on data transfers to the USA: When data is transferred to the USA, authorities may access the data under US law without data subjects being informed or having legal recourse. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Please make sure that you do not upload any confidential design data or trade secrets.

The processing results (AI recommendation) are temporarily cached on our systems (max. 30 days) so that repeated requests with identical content do not have to be sent to the AI provider again. For each request, an anonymized IP hash and the token consumption are also logged for internal cost control.

7. SSL encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

8. Multilingualism (WPML)

Our website is multilingual (German / English) via the WPML plugin. A technically necessary cookie is set to store your language selection. No data is transferred to third parties.

9. SEO plugin (Rank Math)

We use the Rank Math SEO plugin to optimize our search engine visibility. The plugin generates structured data (Schema.org), meta tags, and an XML sitemap. No personal data of website visitors is processed.

10. Fonts and icons

This website uses web fonts that are hosted locally on our server. No connection is made to external font servers (e.g. Google Fonts). Fonts used: Inter, Open Sans, Montserrat.

11. External links and embedded content

Our website may contain links to external websites (e.g. to Google Maps for directions, to industry associations, etc.). When you click on such links, you will be redirected to the external site. We have no influence on the collection and processing of data by these third-party providers. Please refer to the respective websites for information on their privacy policies.
